Youth Social Media Classroom Workshop
Social media has become a staple in American youth culture. Whether texting on cell phones or spending time on sites and apps like Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube, today’s kids are engaging in social media at an ever-increasing rate.
This interactive classroom session is available for fifth grade through high school and is aimed at helping students think more critically about their own social media use. Younger classrooms break into groups and talk about how social media has both positive and negative effects. Older classrooms spend time exploring digital relationships, digital addiction, online self-branding and reputation management, and exploring how social media can be used for good.
